Anytime Breakfast at 12.06 pm - A Goan breakfast thali at The Postcard Hideaway, Netravali, South Goa. Nice breakfast touch, I enjoyed the Aloo Bhaji with a spicy chilli from Canacona and organic tamarind from Netravali, Ragi Poori, Curry Patta Bhajiya( pakora) and Banana Sheera for a sweet finish to the breakfast cooked with bananas, cashews, semolina and jaggery. 20 rooms in 20 acres surrounded by thousands of acres of forests. Book launches have a complicated relationship with T M Krishna!!!! 😂 There is always pre-event and/or during event drama. The launch of We, The People of India: Decoding a Nation’s Symbols was no different. It began with a change in date, then venue and during the event the power went off and yours truly had to hold fort during that short ‘darkness break’ with an extempore song and speech.
But, it was a lot of fun. Nivedita Menon, Sanjay Hedge and Seema Chishti were so marvellous and generous. And it was so wonderful to see so many individuals who keep pushing us to think and act with courage and in a more sensitive and compassionate manner finding the time to come. Thank you all for being there.
Thanks to everyone at Westland for making it all happen!
