🟠 The wait is over. The Foundation is live.
GoBTC is a vertically integrated foundation whose goal is to grow #Bitcoin through its onchain ecosystem.
Now, first things first.
Why?
Because $BTC is not just for holding. It's the best cryptocurrency out there, and it deserves to be more than a store of value. After all, that's what Satoshi wanted.
Halvings make it much harder for miners to keep the network secure. The only way to keep things sustainable is through increased transaction fees. That's what we saw with #Ordinals, when the uptick in popularity of this amazing technology not only gave Bitcoin new cultural meaning through projects like @TaprootWizards, @nodemonkes, and @quantumcats, but also gave miners a lifeline when the block rewards slashed in half. Many more on-chain technologies, consumer apps, DeFi projects can make that happen, too.
Who can apply?
As long as you're a #Bitcoin believer, chances are we need you. We're looking for builders of dApps and solutions as long as they're on the blockchain, and we're looking for allies among VCs, thought leaders, content creators, and others.
Who are we?
The Foundation was started by @gomining, a rapidly developing Bitcoin mining app that makes mining accessible to all. Being in the space since 2017, we have an extensive background in Bitcoin mining.
That said, the Foundation is open for all, and we're looking to get progressively decentralized.
What is GoBTC Foundation, exactly?
There are two main parts to the Foundation: Accelerator and Launchpad.
Accelerator is a 12-weeks program for builders offering:
- $25K investment in GOMINING tokens + potential additional VC funding.
- A tailored growth strategy.
- Access to regular workshops and weekly progress meetings.
Launchpad is a dedicated platform helping new Bitcoin projects launch their tokens via ICO, IDO, or IEO.
Projects on the Launchpad benefit from exposure to the GoMining's 2-million-strong user base. The focus is on supporting impactful projects that bring innovation and value to the Bitcoin ecosystem.
