All this marketing crap being tossed at MLSE is so misinformed. Not sure what ppl want. The Argos avg has gone up each of the past 3 seasons. In the last 2 seasons, they have had, out of 18 home games, crowds of: 19,327 18,210 20,487 17,902 18,354 19,846. That's growth.

Put it this way, no crossover team has ever made it to a Grey cup. The 8th place seed has an absolute hill to climb. And there is a high chance no 8th seed will ever win the Grey Cup for decades.

@Ben_MCarter Some might ask why @TSN would be promoting this so hard when they don't have the rights past 2026. I'm supposedly all about revenue generation, but not even going to shop the rights at a time when live sports is the only thing keeping tv relevant.

The CFL’s 8 of 9 playoff format is brutally flawed from a perception point of view. No dispute there. But my unconditional love for this great Cdn game causes me to say “let’s give it a chance.” Maybe it will drive interest as teams jockey for a favourable seeding. Glass 1/2 full

@canadian_xing @ravira @CFL When I say get past it, what I mean is move on to something else. Our fans obviously suck, and their opinions are irrelevant. I'm building the UFL north division. Fans are optional. Wait to see what I have for 2028!

@ravira If we had a different commissioner (not an arrogant one) and the previous changes were revoked, I could live with the new postseason format. The "they'll get past it" mentality from the commissioner hurts the @CFL.

Question for #CFL fans who hate the new postseason format. If it results in a better TV/media rights deal and more revenue for the league - such that more teams are profitable and they can raise or eliminate the football ops cap - would you be happy with that tradeoff?

8 out of 9 teams in the Canadian Football League playoffs takes away from what makes those games special. Playoff football is supposed to be earned. If anything, grow the league by adding more teams…. not the number of automatic spots. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Here’s my take on the new CFL playoff format: Do I think the league is convinced that overall this is an improvement? No I’m not. But I’m not ignorant to the fact that going from 5 to 9 playoff games is a major financial boost at a time the league is negotiating new media deals. Everyone wants a healthy CFL. So if this is what it takes i’ll live it. Even if I don’t love it. #CFL
