Saw @swapan55 post about saving the tram system in Kolkata. He was standing at Gariahat Tram Depot, and this is the view from my Mamrbari. I'm very sure in the tram system leverages their valuable real estate, they could become viable.
The Kolkata Tram system is a very viable form of transportation and modern rolling stock and better management, it could really be a great examplar for other cities in India.
