What do prop firms ask in a risk interview? - First, understand what a risk interview actually is. - A risk interview is conducted so the firm can verify that you are the one trading, and that you are not involved in group trading, account sharing, or hedging through others. This is the main reason prop firms conduct risk interviews. The questions are mainly about: - Your trading experience - Your trading strategy - Risk–reward ratio - Your trading mindset and point of view - Random questions based on your trade history - Your goals and long-term vision However, if you have made a five-figure payout or multiple payouts from a firm, they may ask more detailed questions, such as: - Your trading history with other prop firms - Trades from breached accounts - Cross-checking trades across multiple accounts - IP address usage If the firm finds that you are not a hedger or involved in group hedging, they will release your payout. Otherwise, the payout may be rejected. Many prop firms conduct interviews to check trader consistency. Once they confirm that a trader is profitable, some firms may still ban the trader after one or two payouts, depending on their internal policies. Best Advice: If the prop firm is new, it is advisable to avoid generating unusually high profits on the account. If it is an established (older) firm, you can aim for higher profits- but always keep complete records of your trades. Update on my $9.5K payout request from @QtFunded : It’s been ~48 hours since I was told my case would be reviewed “shortly”. Still waiting for a clear explanation regarding the “max allocation breach” and how it was calculated. I traded all accounts sequentially and followed the rules to the best of my understanding. Hoping for a transparent resolution soon. @AlexQuantTekel @JamesQuantTekel
