Hull FC will host their largest non-derby opening round crowd since 2005 when they face the Bradford Bulls in the opening round of the 2026 Super League season on Saturday evening. There is a strong possibility that the crowd at the MKM Stadium on Saturday will come close to surpassing the 17,080 who attended the opening game of the 2005 season (Hull FC vs Leeds Rhinos). With the Bradford Bulls back in the Super League for the first time since 2014. Demand has been high in the city to watch their historic return to the top flight, with 1,300 away tickets sold, so far and climbing for the Super League opener. Historically Hull FC vs Bradford Bulls has been one of the Airlie Birds' highest attended fixtures of the season with 19,549 watching Bradford beat Hull FC 26-20 in 2003. Whilst 16,087 saw Hull FC defeat Bradford by 19-12 in 2006, and 14,666 were in attendance to see a youthful Bulls side go down 18-6 in 2009.
