'Make Ireland Great Again' is such a stupid fucking slogan like when? The famine, the war of independence, the civil war, the Troubles or the mother & baby homes? Go on, what should we be bringing back.

A Congolese man died in Dublin on Friday after he was restrained by several security guards in an alleged shoplifting incident – prompting widespread anger and calls for justice. Video of the incident showed several guards on top of Yves Sakila, 35, in Dublin city centre as he cried out in distress. At one point, a guard appears to kneel on his head or neck. He later appears to become unresponsive. Police are investigating. The footage has prompted comparisons with the 2020 killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Local community members held a vigil on Tuesday, chanting “justice for Yves”. The Irish Council for Civil Liberties is demanding that the death be “swiftly, thoroughly and transparently investigated”.
