@Senninsage Ignore live-service excuse? The rumors have stated that caveat since the beginning lol. If you want to debunk the rumor, you can’t just ignore a significant part of it. That's literally what strawmanning is.

Wanna know why the Playstation pulling away from PC rumors started? February 5th, 2026. Sony doing a day and date launch on PS5 and PC of one of their biggest mainline franchises by far. Ignore live-service excuse. A new Horizon franchise game, a tentpole, made by Guerilla.

@barneyxbt @MIC_btc He’s correct. It’s one of the first things you learn in an introductory physics class. And you’re not just told it. You experiment and see it in action.

@Senninsage Guys it could be the these are just the only games he played in these years. Cut him some slack. My guy probably doesn’t play a lot of games.

@Senninsage Sales of their single player games have slowed on PC. Multiplayer games will still be coming but single player games will not.

Jason Schier's own article has an escape clause claiming that this supposed pivot away from PC may not happen and plans could change. It's totally bogus. Sony isn't abandoning PC when it's one of the fastest growing gaming markets out there.
Daily HUBRANX Official@dailyhubranx

I am very confused about Sony's strategy right now. On one side, we had rumors of a PlayStation PC Launcher and an option of a pretty neat Cross-Buy feature. Meaning if you buy, let's say God of War on PS5, you'll have access to it on PC. On the other side we got extremely credible rumors that Sony will stop porting games to PC. And recently Sony Studios started removing the PC tag entirely from their description. You've got that 1440p 240hz monitor and the PlayStation Speakers their promoting And the DualSense haptic feedback support coming to PC. PlayStation fans are confused, PC Gamers are confused, and who can blame them? We got 50/50 headlines that contradict each other. Doesn't really inspire confidence into buying into that PC ecosystem Sony is pushing. Sure we got the live service factor, but c'mon... Marathon isn't doing that great overall. At least PS5 gamers know they'll keep getting those exclusives. Than you got people worried about Nixxes shutting down, you know, the studio that handles the PC ports. I honestly don't think they are so special. The last of us part 1 remake and Spider-Man 2 Miles Morales, were horrible PC ports, amongst others. Thoughts?

@jdete2025 @DestinLegarie There seems to be a misconception here. PlayStation isn’t “abandoning” PC gaming. Any multiplayer-centric games will still be released on PC. It’s the single player games that will remain console exclusive.

@DestinLegarie Destin, I know you're more reliable than many around here these days. I'd like to know your objective opinion: do you think Sony will really abandon PC gaming? Because in their latest SP they announced their PC controller, and they've already released several other things

@Miguelitocomotu @WHEA7L3Y Lightroom doesn’t magically create data that isn’t there, it just processes RAW sensor data so you can actually see it. Saying “processed or faked, you’ll never know” isn’t skepticism, it’s just ignoring how imaging works.

@Suarez45972R @WHEA7L3Y Did you say "exposure balanced"?, because it's the treat here. If you know anything about astrophotography, the speed of 1/4s is ridiculous to get more light. EXIF showing Lightroom just means it was processed, or faked, you'll never know.

@Miguelitocomotu @WHEA7L3Y Lightroom isn’t some gotcha, it’s standard processing. NASA releases are almost always color corrected and exposure balanced from RAW data. That doesn’t change the fact it’s the same scene with different shutter speeds. EXIF showing Lightroom just means it was processed not faked

@Miguelitocomotu @WHEA7L3Y You’re asking for EXIF like that settles it but NASA already explained it. Same moment, different exposure. Longer shutter brightens the day side, shorter one brings out city lights. Cameras don’t show “truth”, they show settings. This is basic photography.

@Suarez45972R @WHEA7L3Y Can you send me the EXIF info of this picture?, I can't find It. NASA was very interested in giving information about the other one, but I haven't seen anything about this. Will be here, waiting your info.

@DefinitelyCaden @Thebigsoll I agree. That’s my point. Grasping that reality is just as easy as grasping the chance that the earth was formed in the way that it was. There are plenty of planets out there. Chances are at least one will have life on it.

@TFranchosa It doesn’t cost a lot to believe it was formed by chance considering the amount of time that passed. Given a large amount of time, it is highly likely that many things that are possible will happen.

We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.

@Morris_Cody @DrChrisCombs Relativity. At launch, the spacecraft retains the momentum it had when it left the earth. Relative to the spacecraft, the earth is just rotating in place.

@Elvick @Mata_Lino6 @FromSoftCentral If anything, the fact it’s easily emulated is exactly why DRM makes sense. That’s the whole point. And these are old games, modern hardware has so much overhead that any performance hit is basically negligible.

@Suarez45972R @Mata_Lino6 @FromSoftCentral Why does it need DRM? It's already easily available if you don't want to buy it... and you can buy it without DRM on GOG. So why can't you buy it without additional DRM on Steam? Steam itself can be DRM.

@Nick_Marseil This is actually an insane take. First off, not all games are Game-Key Cards. Secondly even if they were, you can download the game before leaving the house and you’re still gaming in the go without WiFi. The Portal has no option like that.

@notch @THERE_IS_N0D4T4 DLSS was made by programmers too you know. DLSS has (until 4.5) just been something to help get better performance while also rendering better graphics. DLSS 5 is another story.

DLSS fundamentally makes no sense. Because the graphics card is too slow to run the game at reasonable speeds, you use THE SAME HARDWARE to run a neural network to generate frames in between the existing ones.
