Holding someone down and sticking a finger in his anus is not horseplay. It’s not a frivolous matter. It’s not “all in good fun.” It is instead actionable assault. Yesterday, the legal team for Ramon Ayala, Sr. did not deny the alleged conduct but instead attempted to characterize it as “frivolous” and merely “horseplay.” They also attempted to distance Ayala, Sr. from it. My response is here. These band members seek only accountability and responsibility. The case is John Does #’1, 2 & 3 v. Ramon Ayala, et al.

I'm sunburned, and out of ibuprofen I need this post go viral so I can pay for all this. Why couldn't she have chosen sourdough bread? Or crochet? Or triathlons?

@joecourtemanche I'm 5yrs and 90-100k+ words into my book. I'll publish around 200k. I' planned woodcuts prints for chapter illustrations. At 4k+ words per chapter, it's been a process. There's no shortcut or hurrying it along. It just has to grow on its own.

Virtually every author worth a damn has their first book on the hard drive. Carried over to a number of computers for decades, this is the one that got them started, but it wasn't ready to publish, or so they were told. I looked at my 2026 goals chart and realized that in the 5th month I'd accomplished 6 of 12 objectives, and can honestly say I lost 2 months nursing my wife after her knee replacement. I am ahead of schedule. I chose the item that said, "Finish Cornelia's Prayer" and this morning I located the file that I'd determined was the best of many revisions over 2 years ago. (I had all of them on the SD card.) I am not going to listen to the professionals this time, I'm going to publish the thing independently if I can't sell it. Why now? After writing two critically acclaimed books (made at least $47 on them) and editing several other peoples books I may have learned enough to cut away the fat and get this work ready for you. That is my goal this summer: Cornelia's Prayer. Pray for me, it's a darned fine book and will be a great one, God willing, when I'm done editing it this year.
