It's a shame that people forgot what a real El Clásico is, Last year when Punjab Kings started ruling in the IPL, RCB became their biggest competition, and stopped them from lifting the trophy. RCB and PBKS emerged as two strongest sides of this cycle, and the rivalry they had last year deserves to be called el classico. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have looked like two of the weaker sides in this IPL cycle. With Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni no longer leading their respective teams, the classic intensity and legacy attached to this fixture has clearly faded. Calling it an “El Clasico” now feels misplaced. That term should be reserved for matchups defined by strong leadership, personality, and on-field aura which Shreyas Iyer and Rajat Patidar brings, rather than Ruturaj Gaikwad and Hardik Pandya.

Its a shame that only 1 El Classico game happening this year in IPL that too very late at league stage, I hope whoever schedules IPL make sure that fan gets to watch atleast 2 El Classico games every season at league stage, rest RCB & PBKS make sure they play twice again with each other after qualifying for top 2 & Final.
