My wife and I are about to sell our family home (it goes on the market today) and move to a state neither of us have ever lived in before. Over the coming weeks I am going to be posting on my Substack about the experience. - Why are we selling after swearing we’d never move again last time (I am sure everyone says this each time they move) - Selecting an agent - Getting the home ready to go on-the-market - Open homes and the sales process - Auction day (hopefully that’s it for selling but who knows) - Buying interstate and the mortgage process - Moving to another state - Settling into a new home in a new place We haven’t even found the home we want to buy yet so it’s both exciting and a bit scary. Hopefully my readers find this helpful, informative and interesting. My plan is to have my first post up this week.

When existing investors start losing 10-20% of their property value, not to mention the young people who brought using 5% deposit in the last 12months, it’s game over for this govt. My own townhouse neighbour is selling in a very good suburb in melb and cancelled auction 🤦🏽‍♂️

Regardless what happens with other auctions today these vendors got a good price. No proper laundry, 2 carspots is bs as would be tandem in back yard, tiny bathrooms. People crazy. Mind you they bought it for 4.025m in 2023 so probably just got their money back.
