Republicans, it’s time to admit this isn’t 4D chess. This isn’t genius negotiation. This isn’t a brilliant scheme. There are no secret diplomatic talks. This is a good old fashioned goat rope of epic proportions. And every second you fail to acknowledge this, you’re losing credit with the voting public that knows better. There’s still time for POTUS to preserve his legacy and restore to himself honor: 1. Declare an end to hostilities and consider it a show of impressive air and naval superiority, in exchange for opening the straight. 2. Tell the American people we accomplished our goal of depleting Iranian stockpiles (and pretend we didn’t delete our own) and destroying their munitions manufacturing. Claim this was the genius goal all along. 3. Blame the brevity on the pressing domestic needs at home due to the overwhelming number of administration agenda items that are incomplete or yet unaccomplished. That’s the best possible action. Because we can’t stay forever and don’t want to, and after 8 trillion and thousands of dead Americans and roughly a million dead Iraqis, we handed it to ISIS warlords exponentially worse than Saddam (and largely the creation of the CIA’s stupid ideas and funding). That was not a novelty. That’s what happens. War leads to death. There’s no liberty piñata at the end, filled with freedom prizes. So unless we’ve got Marshall Plan money sitting around, you’re not getting those results. Your prize is going to be another war in 20 years when whatever toddlers we don’t smoke with our missiles grow up, even more radicalized than before, and with more *justifiable* grievances at who they were told was the Great Satan, and who - from their perspective - acted like it. The answer to your first question is the reason Tucker can diagnose America in decline despite the fact we kidnapped a Third World despot (golf clap) in Venezuela and are weeks into a new Middle Eastern war is because he suffers from a pair of brutal intellectual maladies called a “recent memory” and a “consistency.” You see, Trump was elected on a wave of populist sentiment that emphatically argued that America was in decline and needed some TLC to be made great again. We had red caps, it was a whole thing. We were tired of foreign entanglements that benefited other nations while American infrastructure and services went to hell and our nation was overrun with illegals and we needed to focus on home and mass deport a bunch of uninvited guests, reinvigorate manufacturing, gut waste, all that stuff. And central to that message was “no new wars.” We were all on the same page not that long ago. Tucker apparently remembers this and doesn’t think the principle changes because a war cult in a desert trailer park happens to say “pretty please.” Tucker is standing exactly where the rest of us stood when we supported and elected POTUS on the promise “no new wars” because it always has the same consequences; war explodes our national debt, causes budget-busting permanent inflation for Ametican families, and distracts us from the fact America has crushing domestic needs. For example, we literally just watched POTUS be forced to back down and retreat ICE from Minneapolis because of successful color revolution tactics in American streets. We couldn’t even conquer Minneapolis. Trump’s deportations are up only 7% over Biden’s (that’s not even counting the “turn-arounds counted as deportations” Biden math). Meanwhile, the mass deportations we promised aren’t happening. But that’s not the only failure. Down the line, there’s little more than broken promises and all the Fox News and Blaze sunshine-pumping doesn’t change that. So to be brief, I’ll say that Tucker says we’re in decline for all the exact same reasons we all said that on January 19, 2025. None of those reasons magically went away because a Republican took office, and metric by metric, it’s all worse. But WHY we’ve taken these actions also shows decline. Confiscating dictators because the dollar is in such awful shape that we can’t risk an irrelevant banana republic trying to evade the Petrodollar doesn’t exactly scream stability. Our economic dominance is so volatile that we have to resort to military action is what empires do on the way down, not the way up. And for the love of God, being forced into a war because our “ally” couldn’t be controlled just means we made a monster. We were led into this war. It wasn’t even our idea. The screws are to POTUS’ fingernails and the SecWar, Speaker, and Secretary of State have all said as much. Being dragged around by our collar by a much smaller dog is nothing to be proud of. It’s pathetic and sad. Meanwhile, we are six weeks into a war that we were told would be over weeks ago. We’ve depleted our stockpiles and nobody knows what to do next but the only thing nobody wants to do, which is send in warm bodies. And Iran is performing and surviving better than any of our “experts” thought. Once again, our military planners misjudged literally everything. And here you are, doing what declining powers do, taking out all of your angst and anger out on POTUS critics - even the ones still rooting for his success despite it all - for not “believing hard enough” as though his doubt is the cause for 2026 being a goat rope. If I had the chance, and yes we have tried to get @TuckerCarlson on the show, I would ask him a couple of questions in response to this: 1) Please explain how it is possible you see the global American Empire crumbling at the precise moment it is executing the most successful multi-national Israel-Arab alliance in all of human history? While it also replaced the leadership of Venezuela, with some of the largest crude oil deposits on the planet, without a single U.S. casualty? You may be opposed to these actions on principle, and that is a worthy argument to consider, but just based on these simultaneous successes alone how is this evidence for failing? 2) You are 56 years old, so obviously you're old enough to remember Billy Graham and the Soviet Union. Billy Graham launched his first crusade in my former hometown Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1947. His decades of revivals are one of the primary reasons why America is the last bastion of Christendom when the rest of the West has fallen. What kind of Christianity did he preach? And it was those same Protestant Christian voters who launched Reagan to the White House and ultimately won the Cold War. The kind of Protestant Christianity that existed before Graham's crusades had largely retreated from the public space. They became the mainline heretical denominations you see today. It was the denominations that believed in Zionism that were the tip of the spear for the Reagan Revolution, and now also MAGA. While you may disagree with their theology, and that is also a worthwhile argument to consider, how can you say the post-WWII Protestantism is unrecognizable or failing when it is all that actually stands in the way of America becoming the UK? Furthermore, you know who also simps for Islam as you do, Tucker, and opposes American unipolar superiority in the world? The likes of Rick Warren, who has arguably done more harm to American Protestantism than anybody until whatever it is you're currently trying to do.
