That said, BYU as a regular Notre Dame opponent is intriguing…potentially fun & valuable for both programs.

One of my all-time favorite Notre Dame games. After the NIU loss, the Irish developed into a contender, but with zero breathing room each week. This felt like the payoff. First home playoff game. Under the lights on a cold December Friday. A night full of fun. ☘️🚇 #LoveThee

Together, they created an all-time backfield at Notre Dame. The Cardinals & Seahawks got great ones.

@J5_Sports1 I can support giving one a place in a 12 team playoff. More often than not there’s a G6 team that’s earned their shot.
But 24 teams is unnecessary for a lot of reasons. Quality > quantity.
