@scottcwheeler @coreypronman @KKurzNHL @icemancometh Does this set a new precedent where top prospects can dictate where they end up? Seems like a potential tipping point..

Some initial thoughts on the Gauthier-for-Drysdale trade, with @coreypronman, @KKurzNHL, and @icemancometh: theathletic.com/5188880/2024/0…

@stoolpresidente What’s your beef with Georgetown pres? Your doppelgänger Bradley Cooper is an alumn.
English

I polled a bunch of Big East HEAD coaches. I asked them whether they'd leave Providence for Georgetown.
7-0 said they woulda stayed. Anonymous sources of course.

I polled a bunch of Big East assistants, and head coaches on the following question: Which job would you rather have: Georgetown or Providence? I’ll tweet out the answers and why the coaches made their decisions. @stoolpresidente

@SuchGreat_Heitz You guys would’ve taken Kyle Turris and you know it

@charlieo_conn Isn’t the 3rd owed to Carolina the lowest of those three?
English

I mean, they have two 3rds still (from Florida and NYR) and my guess is they could pick up another by selling JvR at the deadline.
But yes, the Ristolainen trade was bad.

@charlieo_conn but remember that the Flyers already traded away their (very early) 2nd and 3rd round picks this year in order to enjoy this current season

@hsmittman So true. Modern equivalent of when Homer bought Marge a bowling ball for her birthday with his name engraved in it. Everyone wins.
English

@jschulweis I would add, it's often helpful to ask questions when you're given feedback, rather than respond with defensive statements. It helps mitigate quick key #1 and allows the feedback provider to expand on their initial point.
English

@zhascoe TFW you wake up and realize all of your friends forgot your birthday
English

Agreed. Flyers fans gotta stop calling him NAK, too. We trick ourselves into liking him when we give him a cute little nickname

@jordiebarstool He’s so bad, it’s infuriating

@KeithRHernandez More so instilling the proactive mindset to your sales team versus abandoning the RFP. A good chunk of proactive pitches end up being tied to formal briefs (you get ahead of it and circumvent the process) anyways, so it’s a bit of a catch 22.
English

@davenemetz @hsmittman @joshsternberg Fair. Just seem like no one ever says it until it’s too late. I think more transparency and less hubris would be good for the industry.
English

@hsmittman @SuchGreat_Heitz @joshsternberg Mostly true, but even pre-Covid the context for stories around annual layoffs and belt tightening were missed numbers, tougher competition from the duopoly, etc.
