**The Fourth Foundation Crisis**
Back in 2017, I asked the first participants of our project to read *Foundation* by Isaac Asimov. I wanted each of us to understand: crises are an inevitable part of a long journey. They can't be avoided; they must be faced with enthusiasm. Yes, such moments are tough to endure psychologically, but perhaps that’s their purpose — a test of resilience, a measure of your faith in your mission and your determination to see it through.
Founders mode is a state where you push forward with purpose, knowing full well that no one guarantees tomorrow will be any better. It’s not easy to live with that awareness, and perhaps that’s why people are so eager to cling to guarantees. But I’ve been living without guarantees for 14 years now - ever since I last worked under a contract. Since then, there have been small companies and a few businesses that succeeded but didn’t feel fulfilling.
Then, in 2015, I put everything I had - my savings, my energy, and the efforts of my team - into R&D with the goal of creating something meaningful on a global scale, akin to a public institution. That’s how the Robonomics project was born, preceded by the idea of Aira, a software platform for robots.
For years, I moved forward, always aware that the horizon of planning was limited. This tension between dreams and reality was often painful, especially during crises. Over the course of Robonomics’ journey, we’ve already overcome at least three major crises. But as Asimov’s *Foundation* teaches, each crisis is unique. Tools from the past don’t work for the challenges of the future. We can’t just drift along a sideways trend and hope for the best.
For the past six months, I’ve been working on a strategy for the next stage of Robonomics’ development. We’ve built an autonomous cloud, developed connection tools, and even showcased real devices for end users - a rare achievement in the Web3 space. But we haven’t yet found a key investor willing to support the next phase without requiring substantial XRT issuance or a complete rebranding of the project.
Currently, the team has received funding for three months of work, but that came at a cost - the token price dropped by a third after we cashed out $100к. XRT’s tokenomics can’t sustain this kind of pressure anymore. Small deals won’t save us now.
What we need is to establish a brand of smart devices, fund a global roadshow to onboard users at the world’s leading tech conferences, and certify our devices for key markets. To move quickly and effectively, we need Series A-level investments - around $10 million.
I believe we can overcome this crisis. Robonomics has exactly 90 days to take the next step forward. I hope I can make it happen. But if not, then on March 1, 2025, the legendary Robonomics may face its sunset - exactly as it enters its 10th year of existence.
It’s strange to think about: having all the evidence of the project’s potential, its history, and a solid plan for the future, yet still facing failure. Perhaps it’s a matter of being too old for these battles, or too complex, like a rock star trying to stage a comeback.
But I still believe we can succeed. That this crisis will become another chapter we overcome - not the epilogue.
