The physical dangers are immense; on World Press Freedom Day, the Sudanese Journalists Syndicate reports that the conflict has claimed the lives of 34 journalists and documented 680 violations against the press. RSF defector’s forces deployed in Khartoum and Omdurman. This deployment could have been better thought through. Instead SAF has re-traumatized a community suffering from extreme PTSD. Any eventual reintegration under a ceasefire will need better thought. sudantribune.com/article/313393

حجوج كوكا هو مؤسس وعضو في غرف الطوارئ في السودان – وهي مجموعة مجتمعية يعمل المتطوعون فيها على إيصال دعم منقذ للحياة إلى المناطق التي يصعب الوصول إليها. ففي المناطق التي يُمنع دخول المساعدات إليها، وحيث تشتد الحاجة للمساعدة، فإن المستجيبين المحليين هم أفضل من بإمكانهم الوصول إلى المحتاجين في المجتمعات المتضررة. ونحن سوف نضاعف دعمنا لهم ليتمكنوا من الوصول إلى 1.8 مليون محتاج في السنة القادمة.
