I remember a few years ago how conciliatory my ‘tone’ was in conversations on X about this. I’m sure many women were same. Particularly from a professional standpoint - as I’m not anonymous- I recall thinking I must stay measured. It was thrown back in our faces. We were told we were bigots even when we were polite. So, we started being less polite, more direct and even - gasp - swearing occasionally. Now we are told we are rude, toxic and angry. We can’t win so frankly, these men - and all like them - can go fuck themselves.
