To make every vote carry equal weight the electoral system needs to reflect the votes of the electorate proportionately - a suggestion that moving the boundaries solves the problem is at best naive, at worst misleading.

Every vote cast in a general election will carry equal weight. The Parliamentary Constituencies Act, now law, means that the geographical boundaries of the UK’s 650 constituencies will be redrawn and made near-equal in size. Read more: gov.uk/government/new…
