The UK Government are trying to rip up the human rights of some of the most vulnerable people in society.
So, here’s a little thread of some of the things they don’t want you to be reminded of right now:
Before we go after Roald Dahl books perhaps we could deal with the literal millions of copies of David Walliams books that infest the shelves of every supermarket and bookshop in the country first.
The cost of meeting nurses’ demand for an inflation-busting pay rise: £1.6 billion.
The cost of Rishi Sunak’s bank tax giveaways: £7.3 billion.
If we can afford handouts for the rich, we can afford to meet the basic needs of those who keep this country afloat.
More people voted for Matt Hancock to do the bushtucker trial tonight than voted for Rishi Sunak to be prime minister
We live in a completely normal country
Just a reminder that the Tories have been in power for 12 years.
12.
If (and they are) things are pretty shite, common sense/logic would dictate that, for want of a better phrase, they've fucked it.
The hospitals in Leicestershire including the General Hospital in Leicester East have opened food banks to feed NHS staff.
Nurses’ pay is no longer enough to pay for food.
They carried us all on through a pandemic, the government sent them to food banks in response.
Appalling.
At noon Rishi Sunak promised “integrity, professionalism & accountability”
At 5pm he made Suella Braverman Home Secretary, 1wk after she resigned for Ministerial Code breach/security lapse
He put party before country. Security is too important for this irresponsible Tory chaos
