@ANI the RT PCR test shall be done immediately....passengers stuck in hotels (Mumbai) with no test for over 24 hrs. Poor implementation of a hasty plan! What about people visiting India for only 7-8 days?

@MoCA_GoI This so-called 'new' mutation was noticed in Sept in UK - for the last 3+ months people were travelling and all of sudden this extreme step with no planning in place. Can't understand the logic. At least people in transit shall be tested and let go for home quarantine.

As a measure of abundant precaution, passengers arriving from UK in all transit flights (flights that have taken off or flights which are reaching India before 22nd Dec at 23.59 hrs) should be subject to mandatory RT-PCR test on arrival at the airports concerned.

Considering the prevailing situation in UK. Govt. of India has decided that all flights originating from UK to India to be suspended till 31st December 2020 (23.59 hours).

@MoCA_GoI So far tests not done for people who arrived 24hrs back - they have just put passengers in hotels (Taj, SK). On records, it looks all good - but no social distance, no isolation, no tests in 24 hrs! No BMC officer has met passengers so far!
