This likely comes from a 2016 Oncotarget study on aqueous dandelion root extract. The “>90% in 48 hours” part was in colon cancer cells in vitro (cell culture), not human tumors. The same paper also reported that oral DRE, 40 mg/kg/day for 75 days, slowed human colon cancer xenograft growth in mice by >90%. Very interesting preclinical signal and worth studying further, but not a proven cancer treatment yet. oncotarget.com/article/11485/…

Almost every single gut protocol I run contains Saccharomyces boulardii throughout (either in isolation or in SBO probiotic combination). Why it's elite: — Aerotolerant yeast, survives/grows in presence of oxygen but doesn't need it for metabolism, very adaptive to microenvironment of the gut. — Optimal growth is at 37°C which is human body temperature. — Acid tolerance down to pH 2, so it gets through stomach easily, reaches small/large intestines. Essentially, you can think of it like a special ops Navy SEAL that's built to survive the hostile environments of the GI tract. What it does: — Secretes organic acids to modulate pH of microbiome + optimizes butyrate producers — Disrupts biofilms esp. when paired with MCT oil or NAC — Prevents adherence of pathogens to epithelium — Contains serine proteases that cleaves certain endotoxins — Increases secretory IgA = first line of defence — Enhances phagocytosis of immune cells for immune signalling + pathogen clearance — Modulates the cytokine pool towards anti-inflammatory. — Stimualtes brush border enzymes for proper digestion (thus, preventing overgrowth + gut symptoms) — Contains polyamines for gut lining proliferation/repair Great for SIBO/dysbiosis, motility issues, parasites, mold/mycotoxin toxicity, IBD, skin/acne, liver/metabolic issues, and more (plenty of cites in OP). Dose: 5 billion CFU daily, away from food, 1-2x/day.

CAVEATS The strongest evidence is for AAD prevention, recurrent CDI, pediatric acute diarrhea, traveler's diarrhea, and as an H. pylori eradication adjuvant, these are backed by multiple meta-analyses of human RCTs. IBD, IBS, NAFLD, T2D, acne, and anti-Candida claims rest on smaller trials, animal models, or in-vitro work. S. boulardii should not be used in critically ill or central-venous-catheter patients because of rare fungemia case reports. Most trials used CNCM I-745 (Florastor) or CNCM I-3799.

Gut dysbiosis leads to an excessive endotoxin load that depletes vitamin C, which then prevents vitamin E from being recycled. When you can't recycle vitamin E, your cellular, mitochondrial, and organelle membranes deal with excessive oxidative stress/lipid peroxidation, which then leads to further dysbiosis and disease in general.

@lowmegatron Being in the sun also somewhat depletes zinc ala vitamin D synthesis, so you can end up processing vitamin A/ Copper in a weird way. Most of my zits stopped after I fixed my excess copper and fixed zinc metabolism. Optimizes Retinol. ajcn.nutrition.org/article/S0002-…
