One reason that Grok has the best UX at present in my opinion is that it gets to the point much faster. Gemini hallucinates too much to be reliable, and Claude requires a ton of handholding and cajoling on some topics. And ChatGPT... Well we all know that's the most condescending, recalcitrant model out there.

@d4doome Funny thing about camp hollerer-ers in theatres: they are the first ones to complain when others cheer and boo during action films. I think both groups are wrong, but the camp group thinks their noisemaking is somehow”high art”

I need to find that! My students loved their soundtrack for “Nosferatu: Phantom Der Nacht.” Back in my professorin’ days, I’d let them do an assignment picking their favourite soundtrack from a film studied in my course, and filming a short scene using that music, to illustrate how it enhanced their visuals. The majority would pick this one

So as mentioned earlier, I've been listening to a bunch of "weird prog" from a forgotten thumb drive I randomly found at the back of a drawer. Right now I'm playing "In den Gärten Pharaos" by frequent Werner Herzog collaborators Popol Vuh.

Notice all of these people act the same. They do something completely incendiary and try to push LGBTQ nonsense down your throats. Demand you like it or you're a "bigot". Claim review bombing. Lie and claim the show is a success when the ratings obviously don't justfiy it. When you voice you don't like it, you're "rage baiting" or on a "hate site." Or something else attacking fans. Cry that they're being canceled, and claim to be a victim. Move onto another property and do the same thing.

Blue State Blues. In the ever increasing polarization between blue and red states, it is increasingly important to know which state to live in to avoid being harassed, or far worse (as in this case Elon cites) If you want to be in payoff space, then living in a red state is the safe space for you. If you want to be in the education 4HL (eg schoolteacher), then blue state is your safe space. There are many other examples where some professions will be constantly harassed in a just a blue state and just a red state I imagine relocations to be the norm in the next few years. Choose your state wisely, based upon your career and beliefs

Celebrities endorsing new reboots (Gillian/X-Files, Shatner/SFA) just mean that they want their income streams from the franchise to continue uninterrupted. The public means nothing to them, they fully endorse Hollywood vandalizing our favorites.

this is true. It was a niche subculture to listen to The Smiths, Kate Bush, Ministry, etc when they were in their prime. Only “Alternative Nation” would play them on MTV, and “City Limits” on Much Music in Canada, both on during late hours. I was considered weird for wearing my Smiths “Shoplifters of the World” t- shirt in the late 80s

The Smiths didn't used to be a major band, mostly listened to by low-rider Chicanos for some reason. Jennifer Connelly was sort of a B+ celb in the 90s. Few Americans knew who Kate Bush in the 80s, she wasn't even on MTV much if at all. Retroactive Celebrity.

@Empty_America Do young people know that The Smiths were not a big band when they were around?
