Congratulations to Engineer Adam Lumbardo. Adam has been with the SCFMD since joining as a Firefighter/EMT in September, 2004. Adam has since acquired his Paramedicine Certification and was promoted to Engineer on August 20, 2018. His son Joie had the honors of pinning his badge.

Flag Day is celebrated on June 14th every year in honor of the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened on June 14, 1777 - 241 years ago! The poster below was used to celebrate the 140th Flag Day in 1917. The U.S. Flag is as majestic today as it was in 1777.

On this Memorial Day, please join the Sun City Fire & Medical Department in remembering and honoring the people who have died while serving in this great country's armed forces. This tradition dates back to 1882 when it was called Decoration Day, but became Memorial Day in 1967.

A year ago, Jerry went into cardiac arrest at Home Depot in Glendale. Engineer/Paramedic Rich Rivas was there off duty. Rich performed CPR on Jerry until Glendale F.D. arrived. So proud of our very own Rich Rivas. Rich recently celebrated 32 years with SCFMD! We are honored!
