The 5 best decisions of my life: - Getting sober & staying sober - Moving to TO for a better life - Returning to college for a better career in accounting - Falling in love and spending 7 years with the woman I love - Cutting ties with a family that never cared about any of this

Not only did Poilievre blow a 20-point lead in an election where he was projected to win a huge majority, he lost his own seat and the confidence of MPs who crossed the floor to help give Carney a Liberal majority. Super Mario must be a CPC paid grifter at this point. #cdnpoli

NO. Pierre is not a “problem” for Conservatives or Canada. He’s a problem for the Liberal Party. I predicted this. This is the next phase of their plan to REMAIN in power. Remove their biggest threat. This is borderline Chinese communist propaganda. Pierre is our guy.

@prairiecentrist Poilievre never really made a case for why you should vote for him, he only made a case for why you shouldn’t vote for Trudeau. That’s the difference.

What if Poilievre was never popular? What if Trudeau was just unpopular?

The vocalist doesn’t want to be there. That’s the difference between the Sex Pistols and Blink 182.

@Gavin_McInnes Punk is a lie. Any way you can think of to describe Punk Rock can equally be applied to regular Rock.

Read this carefully. • His wife lives in the U.S. 🇺🇸 • His four kids live and study in the U.S. 🇺🇸 • About 91% of his investments are in the U.S. 🇺🇸 • He owns a home in the U.S. 🇺🇸 • Even Brookfield has moved its headquarters to the U.S. 📍 Yet he tells Canadians: 🇨🇦 “We can’t depend on America.” 🇺🇸 Do you see the contradiction?

Anybody else find it a coincidence that Mark Carney’s rise to Liberal leader and PM began after Chrystia Freeland resigned as finance minister, and that the Liberals secured a majority after winning the byelection yesterday in her former riding of University–Rosedale? #Cdnpoli

If you’re calling Ty Gibbs a nepo baby and saying his first win at Bristol yesterday was “undeserved” because he didn’t lead most of the laps and “stole” it at the end, but said nothing when Chase Elliott did the same at Martinsville two weeks ago, you’re a DARF. #NASCAR

@Jadelivenletliv @PeterSchiff @atensnut The lack of awareness in this reply is outstanding. How is Trump using the political system to enrich himself and his family any different than the so-called swamp doing the exact same thing?

@PeterSchiff @atensnut I didn’t realize being an entrepreneur was exploitative. He has always been a businessman. Good on him for making his family more money while continuing to drain this fricken swamp! He’s not taking from the tax payers like the f’ing congress who refuses to get shit done!

Just when I thought market manipulation couldn’t be any more obvious under Trump’s administration, he’s now publicly praising companies and including their stock tickers. Shameless.

Happy to see the Artemis II crew return safely, including Jeremy Hansen. Proud to have attended the same high school, Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute, as the first Canadian astronaut to visit the Moon. Small towns produce big dreamers.

Can you imagine the meltdown from the religious right if Obama had said this on Easter Sunday? Trump clearly has no idea what he’s doing and his desperation shows. Fucking idiot.

@JJ_McCullough Layton benefited in 2011 from a weak Liberal leader in Michael Ignatieff, attracting voters opposed to Stephen Harper. In 2015, with Justin Trudeau’s popularity, at the time, he likely would have had a poor result and resigned as leader of the NDP afterwards.

I’m tired of this take. Layton ran in four federal elections and lost every one by wide margins. People aren’t “destined” to become PM if they keep running forever. This like saying Andrew Scheer was destined to become PM.
Sami Gold@souljagoyteller

If Jack Layton hadn’t died in 2011, how much would Canada’s 2010s history have been changed? Was he destined to become PM? Layton’s death feels like one of those great history-altering moments that scars a generation’s dreams

Canada is the only G7 country without high-speed rail. With 50% of our population living in the Quebec City–Windsor corridor, the demand is clearly there. Investing in high-speed rail should be a common-sense infrastructure priority. It’s time to stop talking and start building.
