Re: Zero Season 4, Episode 6 - Spoiler Warning I know everyone is immediately wondering if this episode cooked or whether it flopped, given its importance. Don't worry. IT FUCKING COOKED. HARD. ESPECIALLY THE SECOND HALF OF THE EPISODE. LIKE MAN, I HAD ANOTHER JAW TO THE FLOOR MOMENT. The first half was pretty good, and of course, the infamous scene with Reid and Emilia was kept, with her bouncing boobily. There were some good action cuts, and I especially liked the way they subtly introduced the fact Reid was able to stop Julius' sword with mere chopsticks. It will catch anime onlies off guard! AND FOOD FOR THE NOVEL READERS AFTER. They not only kept the reference to the three strongest of each nation, but we get silhouette designs of each. INCLUDING THE CRAZED PRINCE. AND THEN THE PIECE DE RESISTANCE OF THE EPISODE. I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL TOO MUCH OF IT. BUT OMG. THE SOUND DIRECTION. THE DIRECTION. THE WAY THE SCRIPT THROUGHOUT THE EPISODE USED CONTENT FROM SEASON 1 AND ANIME ORIGINAL CUTS SHOWING FLASHES OF JULIUS' PAST. THE OST MAN. INCREDIBLE. JUST WATCH AND SEE ON WEDNESDAY! And of course, after we have Subaru trying to support Julius down the stairs and their talk. The episode ends on the scene shown in the official second trailer, that I attached to this post, with a really neat tie in to a certain Season 1, Episode 13 (something that is thematic throughout the episode). 😉 Not an extended length episode. Literally the only thing I can think of that Mushoku Tensei does better than Re:Zero is... world building? nothing else. Not that I think MT is bad.

ReZero and Mushoku Tensei can be hard to compare because they have very different strengths and elements However, the things that make ReZero *ReZero* MT manages to do better, while the things that make Mushoku Tensei *Mushoku Tensei* RZ can’t begin to compare.

Started rereading chapter 48 of arc 6 and completely forgot how good the start was. I remember the contents but not how well it layed. I’ve never given Tappei his props for that.

9 Arcs in and I have feeling like I have been oversold on Re:Zero world ngl. Other than Sanctuary, Pleiades Watchtower, Chaosflame and Ginunhive I feel like I have seen all other stuff in any other Isekai. Character designs are so unique but contrasting them to somewhat bland world they are in is just much easy to notice the was difference between the two. We barely scratched Lugunica and been to 2 distinct places in Vollachia. Will Kararagi and Gusteko even get some proper spotlight knowing series is almost at it's end? Hell, it seems like all interesting stuff all around the world happened 400 years ago of which only thing they constantly repeat Witches this and Satella, yeah bro I get it they are important for overarching story but tell me something else that happened then as well. Like I am so interested in Hoshin, I got glimpses of Iris and King of Thorns and I still don't know shit about their past beside they were in love and betrayed by wolfs and moles. Give me some substance please... Without Ex volumes this world is quiet disappointing idk man. I want to learn about more figures from history, like what are stories behind Teleos's Rose Knight and Magritzer's Gibbet. GIVE ME PROPRELY SEASONED MEAT AND POTATOES, NOT JUST OVERCOOKED POTATOES WITH A PINCH OF SALT!
