BREAKING: A federal appeals court has blocked mailing prescriptions to mifepristone, restricting access to one of the most common means of abortion. apnews.com/article/aborti…
English

The Biden abortion cartel facilitated the deaths of thousands of Louisiana babies (and millions in other states) through illegal mail-order abortion pills. Today, that nightmare is over, thanks to the hard work of my office and our friends at @ADFLegal. I look forward to continuing to defend women and babies as this case continues.
English

@duck_go_fast @AP You're a potato. Medication that requires an ID can't be mailed. And millions of elderly rely on their medication being mailed to them.
English

@AP Due to people abusing prescription medications. Most prescriptions including pet meds should be banned being mailed.

@Rep_Walkinshaw You mean the officers who held open doors to allow the patriots in?
You mean the officers who escorted the patriots around the Capitol?
Or do you mean the rogue cop who murdered Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed veteran?
None of them deserve a plaque.
English

For months, Speaker Johnson refused to hang the Jan. 6th plaque honoring law enforcement.
Then he placed it in a basement corner of the Capitol where it will rarely be seen.
The brave officers, many from Northern Virginia, who defended the Capitol against the insurrection deserve better.
This plaque belongs where everyone can see it.
English

@Rep_Walkinshaw Seems to be an argument over how the history books should be written. Oh by the way, Ashli Babbit will be getting that military honors funeral after all.
English

@empire_sentry @Rep_Walkinshaw Traitor ... Leave ... please, just get the fuck out of here. You morons have destroyed the greatest country on this planet.
English

@Rep_Walkinshaw There was no insurrection
Nobody tried for insurrections
People were tried on an old Enron case where Enron shredded documents. SC threw it all out
A loser cop hiding behind a marble pillar shot a women through the neck without a warning: THATS what you celebrate

@RpsAgainstTrump The funniest part about this is that it will force liberals to admit people who actually lived under communism don’t support them

@archeohistories Why are you showing a picture of a white woman. Cleopatra was not European
English

Cleopatra ascended the throne at the age of 17 and died at the age of 39. She spoke 9 languages. She knew the language of Ancient Egypt and had learned to read hieroglyphics, a unique case in her dynasty. Apart from this, she knew Greek and the languages of the Parthians, Hebrews, Medes, Troglodytes, Syrians, Ethiopians and Arabs. With this knowledge, any book in the world was open to her. In addition to languages, she studied geography, history, astronomy, international diplomacy, mathematics, alchemy, medicine, zoology, economics, and other disciplines. She tried to access all the knowledge of her time.
Cleopatra spent a lot of time in a kind of ancient laboratory. She wrote some works related to herbs and cosmetics. Unfortunately, all her books were destroyed in the fire of the great Library of Alexandria in 391 AD. The famous physicist Galen studied her work, and was able to transcribe some of the recipes devised by Cleopatra. One of these remedies, which Galen also recommended to her patients, was a special cream that could help bald men regain their hair. Cleopatra's books also included beauty tips, but none of them have come down to us.
The queen of Egypt was also interested in herbal healing, and thanks to her knowledge of languages she had access to numerous papyri that are lost today. Her influence on the sciences and medicine was well known in the early centuries of Christianity. She, without a doubt, is a unique figure in the history of humanity.

Our nation mourns the loss of six extraordinary American heroes. These brave warriors gave everything in service to our country, supporting Operation Epic Fury.
Major Jeffrey R. O’Brien.
Captain Cody A. Khork.
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan.
Sergeant First Class Nicole M. Amor.
Sergeant First Class Noah L. Tietjens.
Sergeant Declan J. Coady.
Our service members bear a responsibility and a duty most civilians will never come close to understanding. They know that the day might come when they are asked to risk their life in defense of their country. As Secretary of War, I stand with an unbreakable spirit to honor their memory and the resolve they embodied.
To their families, loved ones, and fellow warfighters: We lift you up in prayer and pledge our unwavering support. Their deaths will not be in vain. We will honor them with action. We will hunt down the Iranians radicals responsible, dismantle their military capabilities, and ensure that justice is swift and absolute. We stand stronger than ever, ready to avenge these fallen heroes and crush the threats in Iran that dare to challenge us. America does not yield; we advance, we prevail, and this we'll defend.
God bless our warfighters, their families, and the United States of America.

@nevadanfor @SecWar They're soldiers, not war fighters. That's what soldiers do, fight in wars.
Show some damn respect. They are US Soldiers.

@archeohistories What percentage of the 2000 participants used the free money to fuel their drug or alcohol problems? What percentage of the participants remained employed AFTER the experiment? I could give 2 shits about their happiness index.
English

In 2017–2018, Finland quietly ran a national experiment where 2,000 unemployed people were given a guaranteed monthly income with no work requirements, to see how removing conditional welfare would affect stress, motivation, and everyday life rather than employment alone.
From January 2017 to December 2018, Finland conducted one of the world’s first nationwide universal basic income (UBI) experiments. The government randomly selected 2,000 unemployed people, ages 25–58, and paid them €560 per month, tax-free, with no work requirements and no reduction if they found a job.
The goal wasn’t just to see if people would work more. Researchers wanted to measure stress levels, mental health, trust in institutions, and overall well-being when welfare conditions were removed.
The results surprised many critics. Employment levels were only slightly higher than the control group, but recipients reported significantly lower stress, better mental health, improved concentration, and greater life satisfaction. They also expressed more trust in society and public institutions.
Importantly, participants were more willing to accept short-term or gig work because they didn’t fear losing benefits, a common problem in traditional welfare systems.
The experiment cost about €20 million total, a relatively small figure in Finland’s national budget, but it sparked global debate and influenced pilot programs in countries from Canada to Spain and discussions in the U.S.
