This is the problem the "so what, I'm just not going to spend money and play anyway" crowd don't see. If you don't stand up to this now you're not going to be able to "just play anyway." It's going to be a glorified mobile phone game where you'll hit intentionally designed walls that slow you down, but only after you've already sunk some time and energy into it, so you feel more motivated. They'll use tricks like making the first purchase small (say... $5.00), because it's psychologically shown to make it easier to escalate to bigger ones. The "I just won't spend any money" folks are being naive if they think this is where it stops.

@WVURecruit The saying you’re claiming Rich believes in is an absolute. He even says at the very end of the video that if a puppy doesn’t bite as a puppy, he still may bite but you just need to get it out of him. Some players won’t fit that obviously, but some will.

@SuperMounthl You’re confusing a general rule with an absolute. Rich never said nobody can change. He said what coaches have seen for decades: toughness usually shows up early. One exception doesn’t erase the pattern. It’s not hard to understand bro. Come on.

@WVURecruit Bruh use your brain. He talks about that one player because that’s the one that changed his mind. He’s clearly seen it happen more often and believes that culture and environment can help someone change and adapt to the mentality he’s trying to install in them.

@SuperMounthl That’s fair, but Rich still uses the saying because it’s generally true, not absolute. There are exceptions to everything. Most guys either have that edge early or they don’t.

@WVURecruit What you’re saying goes against what Rich believes. He believes that anyone can have a hard edge mentality, it’s just a process to get it out of them. That one player he talked about is what changed his mentality on that saying.
