We’re basically getting a new college totally redone. The states already chipped in 150 million for that. It’s going to be like a theme park in the middle of Tampa with the new Ballpark and entertainment district there. I wouldn’t mind at a downtown location except the problem there is there’s not 100 acres there like there is at this place. Ybor would’ve taken more time and involve a lot more cleanup and it would’ve been a lot more expensive.

More visitors would be at downtown location on water and it it's not a theme park rofl. Plus don't have to 'redo' the college, exactly ZERO people have asked for a NEW college. why you selling!

And the taxpayers getting back 2.9–6 Billion in return. This is not going to a referendum. This is going to pass barring anything unforeseen and the Rays have the votes to make it happen. The location is a very good location. Not to make it 10 million visitors a year visiting that place and a theme park really in the middle of Tampa. Add the fact that 150 million from the state is coming in to redo Hillsborough College. And 8 to 10 billion in private investment as well.

It was about a generational venue or the CHEAPEST POSSIBLE LOCATION, and they went for the latter. They should just own it
