To make 100% sure full stop you are ready for savage raiding in FFXIV now is the best time. All 7 extremes that lead up to the Dawntrail EX series mount are in game now and can be farmed by drop rate or 99 currency from the fight. I say this because the fights themselves are still kinda "current" meaning you cant unsync them but you can out gear some of them. IE: skip some mechanics and eat damage without too much mitigation. You can challange yourself with the fight's dfficulty to build your mettle and temperment while also allowing yourself to get rewarded for it. You will learn farming, markers, party communication, how to study guides, what guides to study, co-healing co-tanking, optimization, enrage, player skill dispairity, party finder dynamics, personal responsibility, and most important: get a good feel for when to shut your brain off or turn it on. If you get the Wings of Legacy you will be ready.
