Fertilizer factories use this gas to make urea, which helps crops grow strong. Because of the war in West Asia, gas ships are not coming properly to India. Kharif season is just ahead. It starts with the rains in June. This is when farmers grow rice, maize, cotton and other main crops that give 60% of our yearly food. Without enough fertilizer, crops can be weak and food prices may rise. Farmers are worried. But there is some good news too. The government says fertilizer stocks are 36% higher than last year. They have made a new rule to give fertilizer factories at least 70% of the gas they need. They are also buying extra fertilizer from other countries fast. Experts say prices might still go up if the problem lasts. The government is telling everyone not to panic and to get ready for sowing.
