2004 was a good year, but your Gmail address doesn't need to be stuck in it.
To say goodbye to v0t3f0rp3dr02004@gmail.com or mrbrightside416@gmail.com (or whatever you were into at the time), go to your Google Account settings and choose any name available. You'll keep your old username and you can sign in with both.
@devAIxproduct@sundarpichai uh, periods have been arbitrary in gmail addresses for like a decade+ now. your.name@gmail, yourname@gmail and y.o.u.r.name@gmail are all equivalent already
I have a period ‘ . ‘ in the name of my email , it has troubled me since ages. How do you plan to resolve it. When Gmail was launched , it allowed several types of user names , later some rule were changed.
I get emails from so many users , similar to my emails and Helpdesk is not easier to get through.

After two weeks of war, 13 American servicemembers have died, 10 have been seriously wounded and approximately 200 have been injured, according to a U.S. official. -- WSJ
