@AFLCIO @reiunion I've not purchased from REI since this began (member since 1998). I'm also an attorney and a former UPS Teamster. My attorney brother was a Teamster. My other brother just retired from driving a truck-Teamster. Our father was a Teamster. Hence 2 attorneys and a teacher/driver.

@AndrewMarchand Been there. Senior year of college. Didn't know I was claustrophobic. They gave me a Valium and then a Xanax. MRI went swimmingly. Went to Olde English class after in bad shape. Nearly died laughing at the prof reading Chaucer in Middle English a la Muppets' Swedish Chef. IYKYK.

@mikestanislaw That 45% will either not vote in the General or will vote Independent or Dem. It's a lost seat for the MAGAts no matter who won the primary. They won't vote for a proxy.

So Mike Johnson and many republicans are against banning Members of Congress from trading stocks because inflation makes their salary less valuable. Here’s an idea: if $174k a year isn’t enough for you, then resign and let someone who is willing to work the job do it. There are plenty of young people who would be willing to give up stock trading for that salary. And they would actually get stuff done. And if $174k isn’t enough for people to take care of their family, then how the hell is minimum wage?

@GlobeBobRyan @OleTimeHardball Are you pretending steroids prevent swinging at bad pitches? Because that's what made him so special, his ability to predict and diagnose pitches early enough to make good decisions more consistently than anyone. BTW, if he'd gone NYY rather than SFG, he'd have hit 900 HR clean.

The Supreme Court of the United States has now joined the Supreme Court of Virginia in choosing to nullify an election and the votes of more than three million Virginians. These Virginians made their voices heard — casting their ballots in good faith to push back against a President who said he’s “entitled” to more seats in Congress before voters go to the polls. As Governor, I will make sure voters know when and how to cast their votes this year. Because our votes are how we choose the representation we deserve.
