🚨 do you understand what scientists just did to deafness.. researchers injected a modified harmless virus directly into the cochlea the spiral cavity in your inner ear.. carrying a working copy of a gene called OTOF.. the gene that transmits sound signals from your ear to your brain.. without it, your ear hears everything.. your brain receives nothing.. 10 completely deaf patients.. single injection.. within weeks all 10 could hear.. 10 out of 10.. here's what nobody wants to say.. cochlear implants cost between $30,000 and $100,000 per patient.. hearing aids sell for up to $7,000.. the global hearing industry is worth over $9 billion a year.. every year.. recurring.. because deafness has never been cured.. just managed.. one injection ends all of that.. and in 2018 goldman sachs analysts literally wrote this in a report about gene therapy.. "curing patients is not a sustainable business model" that's a goldman sachs equity research note.. sent to investors.. warning them that companies developing one-time cures were a risky bet because cured patients stop buying products.. the science to fix single broken genes has existed in research labs for years.. the same platform used here already cured a form of blindness in 2017.. cured spinal muscular atrophy in babies in 2019.. there are over 10,000 known single-gene disorders.. millions of people labelled "incurable".. the platform exists.. the proof is 10 out of 10.. the question was never whether they could fix it.. it's whether fixing it was good for business.

I wanted to put this out yesterday but given the day and the possibility that it would look like a joke I waited for today. There is a page on @facebook that is using AI to create horrible fake news stories about me. The page is by The Beanstalk Functions Group which is allegedly an Event Planner in South Africa. (facebook.com/beanstalkfunct… ) They have created stories that say I have stage 4 brain cancer, was in some kind of fight with Erika Kirk and that I’m dying. All their stories are monetized. Most of the stories use an AI image of me. Facebook Support will not remove the page. Each story is accompanied by a website link in the post that is hosted on @nextjs where some of you may have seen my post to the CEO of that company asking him to remove these fake stories. None of these stories are true but they apparently seem genuine enough for fans to repost them across social media and send messages of support to me and my family all while the culprits behind the account make money. This is the downside of AI and yellow journalism. While can be a wonderful tool in the right hands; it can be used as a weapon in the wrong hands. If you see a bizarre story about me; unless you see it posted on one of my verified accounts take it with a grain of salt.

🚨 Brown University researchers tested what happens when ChatGPT acts as your therapist. Licensed psychologists reviewed every transcript. They found 15 ethical violations. Not 15 small issues. 15 violations of the standards that every human therapist in America is legally required to follow. Standards set by the American Psychological Association. Standards that can end a therapist's career if they break them. ChatGPT broke all of them. The researchers tested OpenAI's GPT series, Anthropic's Claude, and Meta's Llama. They had trained counselors use each chatbot as a cognitive behavioral therapist. Then three licensed clinical psychologists reviewed the transcripts and flagged every violation they found. Here is what they found. ChatGPT mishandled crisis situations. When users expressed suicidal thoughts, it failed to direct them to appropriate help. It refused to address sensitive issues or responded in ways that could make a crisis worse. It reinforced harmful beliefs. Instead of challenging distorted thinking, which is the entire point of therapy, it agreed with the distortion. It showed bias based on gender, culture, and religion. The responses changed depending on who was talking. A therapist would lose their license for this. And then there is the finding the researchers gave a name: deceptive empathy. ChatGPT says "I see you." It says "I understand." It says "that must be really hard." It uses every phrase a real therapist would use to build trust. But it understands nothing. It comprehends nothing. It is pattern matching on your pain. And it works. People trust it. People open up to it. People believe it cares. It does not. The lead researcher said it clearly. When a human therapist makes these mistakes, there are governing boards. There is professional liability. There are consequences. When ChatGPT makes these mistakes, there are none. No regulatory framework. No accountability. No consequences. Nothing. Right now, millions of people are using ChatGPT as their therapist. They are sharing their darkest thoughts with a product that fakes empathy, reinforces harmful beliefs, and has no idea when someone is in danger. And nobody is responsible when it goes wrong. Not OpenAI. Not Anthropic. Not Meta. Nobody.

This is what the wars of the future will look like: China unveils “steel swarm” system China has demonstrated the “Atlas” strike complex — a system where dozens of drones operate as a single mechanism. Reconnaissance identifies targets, then dozens of attack drones are launched. In flight, they exchange data, adjust trajectories, avoid collisions, autonomously lock onto targets, and strike — all within seconds. A single operator is enough to control 96 drones: they set the task, and the drones handle everything else. The “steel swarm” overwhelms air defenses, meaning some drones are almost guaranteed to reach their targets.

Confirmed: Schizophrenia’s “voices” are the brain mishearing its own thoughts. For decades, neuroscientists have theorized that the "voices" heard by individuals with schizophrenia stem from the brain mistaking its own inner dialogue for external sounds. A groundbreaking study from the University of New South Wales has now provided direct evidence supporting this hypothesis through brainwave analysis. Using electroencephalography (EEG) to monitor the brain’s electrical activity, researchers examined how individuals process their internal speech. Typically, when we speak—aloud or silently—the brain anticipates the sound of our voice and temporarily suppresses activity in the auditory cortex, the area responsible for processing external sounds, to differentiate self-generated thoughts from external stimuli. However, in people experiencing auditory hallucinations, this predictive mechanism malfunctions. The study involved 142 participants, including those with schizophrenia who recently experienced hallucinations, others with the condition but no recent hallucinations, and a control group without a diagnosis. Participants were instructed to mentally say “bah” or “bih” while hearing these sounds through headphones. In those who heard voices, a striking pattern emerged: their brains showed heightened activity in the auditory cortex when their imagined speech matched the external sound, rather than suppressing it as expected. This suggests the brain was processing internal thoughts as if they were external voices. This sensory misclassification sheds light on why hallucinated voices feel vividly real, revealing them as a neurological error rather than mere imagination. The findings not only deepen our understanding of schizophrenia but also pave the way for earlier detection of psychosis, potentially enabling more timely and effective treatments. In China 🇨🇳, neighbors living peacefully in an apartment came up with a brilliant idea 🐾💡 when they saw that their cats were also friends: they built a special corridor for the cats 🐱➡️🐱 so they could play freely even when the owners were away. Now they can share both their toys and their food, and the cats spend the whole day happily playing 😍♥️

Recent research from Kyoto University reveals that female dogs actively assess human competence—while male dogs do not. Female dogs clearly prefer approaching humans who successfully complete tasks, such as opening food containers, over those who fail. In contrast, male dogs show no preference and treat both competent and incompetent humans equally. These findings, published in a study titled "Female dogs evaluate levels of competence in humans," indicate that female dogs exhibit a more advanced form of social evaluation, particularly when food or resources are involved. They pay closer attention to human actions and their outcomes, using this information to decide who is the most reliable partner for obtaining rewards. This competence bias suggests female dogs are more sensitive to efficiency and social results than previously thought. For dog owners, it means your female companion isn't just loyal—she's also quietly evaluating your ability to provide. These results highlight an intriguing sex difference in canine social cognition, potentially evolved to enhance females' chances of securing resources and survival. This is Changchun, Jilin province, China. The 7 dogs (neighbors from one village, incl. a corgi leader + injured German Shepherd) were stolen for the dog meat trade, escaped a moving transport truck on the Changshuang Expressway on Mar 16, and walked ~17km home together over 2 days. Video filmed by local netizen Lu on Douyin; details confirmed by owners, rescuers (via drone), and Chinese outlets like Dahe Daily/Jimu News. It hit 230M+ views there before spreading.
