Before the Military Industrial Complex, countries that built armies had to conquer land, resources etc. to cover the costs of military action. But with the MIC, we just shoot a bunch of missiles ($$$$$), half-ass the job, so we can come back later and shoot a bunch of missiles ($$$$$) again. There’s no substitute for taking shit over, but we can’t be like “W” and ignore public support for leaders like Saddam etc., the equation does involve competence. More people would support military spending if we used the historically-proven method of taking shit over. The MIC agenda is just a fireworks show to rob the taxpayers.

73% of federal spending is locked...Social Security, Medicare, debt interest. No president can cut that without Congress. Blaming Trump for "not cutting spending" while ignoring that structural reality is either ignorant or dishonest. DOGE cut 271,000 federal jobs...fastest peacetime workforce reduction in American history. The swamp didn't just get trimmed, it got gutted. "Token deportations"? 2.5 million illegal aliens are GONE. Border crossings collapsed. Fentanyl trafficking down 56%. The border is the most secure it's been in decades. The left spent 4 years weaponizing DOJ against political opponents. Rebuilding actual prosecutorial integrity takes time. Rushing it makes you them. One Big Beautiful Bill extends tax cuts that prevented a massive middle-class tax hike. The deficit math is real but so is the alternative. Results in 16 months vs. promises that took 4 years to break? I'll take it.

Trump hasn’t delivered net cuts to total federal spending, FY2025 hit $7T+ and it’s still climbing on autopilot entitlements & debt interest. The swamp bureaucracy remains entrenched despite some workforce trims. Mass deportations? Not yet..just ramped-up enforcement and token numbers so far. Not one dirty politician from the last 4 years have been held accountable.

What specifically did you have in mind? Because on the big ticket items, border, trade, cutting government, he moved further and faster than most expected. The criticism that he doesn't follow through doesn't really match what actually happened in the first term or what we are seeing now.
