Already known fact but having higher intraop pressures has never been shown to lead to any actual postop pulmonary complication. So use whatever head down you need to get bowel out of pelvis to complete case safely. Worse thing is to convert to open in these patients.

@RachelleBuchbin Would be interesting if the authors could comment on why low value procedures are still performed. There must be valid reasons. For example concerns about litigation? Or surgeons concerns about trial methods? Or surgeons feel that in subgroups the data don’t apply.

I am so interested in the concept that one RCT represents the outcomes of all surgeons in the world. YET, at same time say how important it is to track your own surgical@outcomes?? @AndreasObermair if a RCT represents us all then why? I am struggling with the concept

@AnthonyDeSalvo No such thing as “surgeon specific” outcomes once RCT done according to some. Not sure why some waste their time pushing for individual @SurgicalPerform data capture and assessment?? Outcome in a RCT applies to every single surgeon in the world after that!
