CONFIRMED: The deployment of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division to Europe — already underway — has been put on hold.
The "Black Jack" brigade cased its colors at Fort Hood, Texas, a week ago, marking the start of a nine-month mission aimed at deterring Russian aggression in Europe. Nearly 4,000 soldiers were slated to take up positions in Poland and other parts of NATO’s eastern flank.

🚨DALLAS: @ICEgov is asking local authorities to NOT RELEASE Luis Benitez-Gonzalez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, who has been accused of committing TWO MURDERS in Central Texas.
DNA evidence links Benitez-Gonzalez to separate murders in Texas over the course of six years: The killing of 28-year-old Alba Jenisse Aviles in Bastrop County in 2018, and the killing of 34-year-old Alyssa Ann Rivera in Austin in 2024.
Since Dallas cooperates with ICE law enforcement, we’re working with local law enforcement to ensure this murderer is NEVER loose in American neighborhoods again.

Austin Police say DNA evidence linked Luis Benitez-Gonzalez, a Mexican national in the country illegally, to the murders of two women in Texas that happened six years apart. He was arrested in Dallas, and investigators now believe there could be more victims because of the large gap between the cases. Dallas cooperates with ICE and because of this @DHSgov says, “we will work with local law enforcement to ensure criminal is never loose in American neighborhoods again.” DHS now tells Fox, Benitez-Gonzalez first illegally entered the country at an unknown date and location, but was arrested by border patrol in Texas in 2020 and self-deported. He then once again illegally re-entered the country, a felony, at an unknown date and location.
