@SketchesbyBoze I loved old movies as a child. I had a rule for a while in which I rejected any movie made after 1945. Why that date? I don't know.

Not going to boost this account but this is a terrible way to approach life. This attitude is the reason kids are growing up never hearing of Robin Hood or King Arthur. They have been deprived of their inheritance. Resist the tyranny of the present moment.

Not looking a gift horse in the mouth .. It's been a long time since I had a Papa John's pizza ..My neighbor brought me a leftover extra one from their meeting .. Things must have changed . The dough had to be prefabricated . the box tasted better.. only hand tossed is when they tossed it in the dumpster . The smearing of spiced ketchup " one full pack " was 6"of 12" on pie . a sprinkling of suspect cheese and pepperoni !! .. Chuck E Cheese is now Gourmet ..my last two fast food encounters in the last 4 years ..quality has slipped .. or is it a deeper conspiracy .. Papa John's .. You suck

@SketchesbyBoze I regret not devoting more time to medieval and ancient literature during my undergraduate studies.

I think the goal of school should be to expose kids to as many different things as possible. Show them classic films, introduce them to great art & poems, have them read a number of culturally important books. We’re in a crisis because kids are graduating not knowing anything.

@SketchesbyBoze I went to a filmathon once. Classic and foreign films 12 hours a day for 3 days. Sore bloodshot eyes, but so worth it.

This may shock you, but those of us who grew up in the ‘80s and ‘90s DID constantly watch classic films. TCM gave our generation an education in cinema. I started a film club with my best friend where we watched movies on the AFI 100 Best Films list. We were culturally literate.
