Imagine a world where hard work is rewarded, truth and justice prevail in courtrooms, the government doesn’t steal your labor by debasing the currency, bureaucrats aren’t captured by corporations, and our taxes go toward critical infrastructure instead of wars overseas.

BigAI is not making intelligence more available and accessible. They are attempting to steal all human knowledge. And make you pay them for it. Decentralized intelligence will win.

The biggest mistake X made was taking away the value of followers Your content used to be distributed to your followers regardless of the "quality" Now it gets graded on time spent, engagement, etc And if it doesn't perform well within the first batch of people, the post will get nuked even if you have hundreds of thousands of followers I can't tell you how many people I used to see on my timeline that I don't see anymore And it's because the algo didn't view their content as optimized enough to surface to more people But I never followed the person because their content was optimized, I followed because I liked what the person had to say
Serpin Taxt@serpinxbt

X allowing people to get paid as a “content creator” is the source of all problems it has today

🚨 Are you paying attention to what Karpathy just admitted.. the founding member of OpenAI.. the guy who trained the models you use every day.. just said every single LLM has the same problem.. ask it one question two months ago and it treats it like your entire identity.. oh wait.. you mentioned crypto once in January? congratulations.. you're now a crypto guy forever.. you also asked about a recipe? every conversation starts with "as someone who enjoys cooking.." these models don't remember you.. they stereotype you.. off a single data point.. we gave AI a photographic memory and forgot to give it the ability to forget.. and forgetting is the most human thing there is..
Andrej Karpathy@karpathy

One common issue with personalization in all LLMs is how distracting memory seems to be for the models. A single question from 2 months ago about some topic can keep coming up as some kind of a deep interest of mine with undue mentions in perpetuity. Some kind of trying too hard.

Think about this: OpenAI wants to take a cut of customers AI-aided discoveries but also wants to offer private equity firms 17.5%+ “guaranteed” returns and offer early access to said tools No wonder people don’t believe in capitalism anymore. The system is totally broken

@michaeljburry Reality must be malleable 🤔 We all know it was never Chick-fil-A but today it’s “true” Eat more chikin joke makes zero sense

Ok their ain’t no way it’s always been Chick-fil-a. I specifically remember being annoyed by its original spelling. Why did their mascots tell people to eat more chikin? The joke doesn’t even make sense unless it was spelled Chic-fil-a! Did we experience a Mandela Effect?

@digijordan That teachable moment when your felt sense of knowing refuses to bow or give-in to the written record. Fascinating tbh.

🚨 Do you understand what just happened at OpenAI.. on January 26.. Sam Altman told his own employees "we are planning to dramatically slow down hiring.. we think we'll be able to do so much more with fewer people".. that was 54 days ago.. today OpenAI announced they're nearly doubling their workforce.. 4,500 to 8,000.. by end of year.. the same man telling you that AI replaces workers.. just announced hiring 3,500 more humans because AI couldn't replace his.. so either the AI isn't good enough to do the work.. or Anthropic scared them so bad they threw the whole playbook out the window.. both answers are embarrassing.. but only one of them is true.. and Sam knows which one.

DoorDash is laying the groundwork for a crazy move here. Agents will be able to 'hire' humans to do tasks for them in the real world. And this will collect insane amounts of training data for robotics. Kind of genius, kind of terrifying.
Andy Fang@andyfang

Introducing Dasher Tasks Dashers can now get paid to do general tasks. We think this will be huge for building the frontier of physical intelligence. Look forward to seeing where this goes!
