@SusanKlaiber @JoshLipnik They were both at Vassar when I was there 72-76. My life pretty much revolved around their courses until I'd taken them all. Unforgettable trip one spring to see the Connecticut "Five Architects" houses, and Philip Johnson's place.

@SusanKlaiber @JoshLipnik Thanks. I live a couple blocks from Nervi’s bus station at the GWB. The issues with the test track were recounted to me by Richard Pommer, back in 1973.

@vze26m98 @JoshLipnik The architect of Lingotto was Giacomo Matté-Trucco, not Nervi! He did other buildings in Turin, though.

@JoshLipnik My understanding is that Nervi incorrectly engineered the rooftop test track, and the cars would slide down the incline as they circuited.
