I have said for decades that militant atheists actually believe strongly in God. They just more strongly deny His sovereignty. Were they truly atheists, they would just say, “meh,” and move on anytime someone spoke of God.
But, they fight. One only fights against that which one knows is real.
I know this, because I used to be a militant atheist, and yet, for my whole life, I have believed in our Creator God—even when I vehemently denied Him.
