@timkokesh @ymmayer This happens to me still. I don’t look like my professor dad and people often assume I’m his wife. I hate it. It’s gross. And I hate that my dad enjoys people thinking that he could have a wife 33 years younger than he is.

@ymmayer My mom accompanied my (professor) grandfather to a handful of university functions while she was in college. And it was always assumed that she was his girl on the side. The issue isn’t (solely) racism; it’s the cultural normalization of old husband/young wife.

I think Trump is going to get away with it. A strong GOP showing on Nov. 8 will probably trigger his announcement for the presidency; dicey for DOJ to indict him, an act that would trigger widespread violence. Indicting a major party presidential candidate is unprecedented.
