Here’s the TL;DR of the interview with Tracy from @DriftProtocol: > Drift’s goal is not to take users from other protocols, but to bring new users and traders into crypto. > Centralized traders’ primary concern is control, they rely on and hope their funds will be there when they need to withdraw them (look what happened with FTX). > Both infrastructure performance and liquidity need to mature. Centralized exchanges optimize for speed. Liquidity follows trust, big money deploys where it trusts the platform. > Equity perps will let users trade on-chain 24/7 without a broker or traditional market access. > Drift doesn’t see itself in direct competition with dYdX, Hyperliquid, or Binance. It focuses on one vertical: being a full-stack trading protocol (one-stop shop). Beyond a perps DEX, it offers borrow/lending, vaults, etc. (enabling traders to achieve capital efficiency). > A mobile app is coming soon to attract users by making it less technical, better UX, with complexity removed. What’s next for Drift Protocol: mobile app, equities market, Prop AMM.
