I know that Toby would never sue someone for an unofficial translation of his game (that's Nintendo's job) but to put it in perspective this is more or less what this whole dilemma is like for the Latin community.

@Sushi905 Yes. A lot of studios do that, yes. Team Cherry is a team of THREE people and they localized the game to many languages day one.

So like do you even want to play the game? Like I’m asking genuinely. Toby has a very small team (probably around 12 people max) to make a massive game. Triple A studios have massive teams to do what Toby does.

I mean look at the friend inside me stuff that came from a SHITPOST and people are making HUGE theories based off of it. If something goes misinterpreted between languages it has massive consequences for the whole fandom.

I get being disappointed I’m not saying you can’t be disappointed. However it’s not fair to make it seem like he’s willingly just singling out anyone in Latin America when he just wants full creative control when it comes to his games which is more than fine.

Not to mention he quite literally does not have to even translate undertale or deltarune into Japanese. But because he was learning it before undertale that means he can accurately translate it
