📌 BREAKING: The U.S. Treasury imposed new sanctions on several Gaza flotilla organizers and pro-Palestine activists, accusing them of links to Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the PFLP. 🔹Among those targeted is the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA), a Palestinian diaspora organization founded in 2017 that advocates for Palestinian rights and the right of return. The Treasury claims the group is directed by Hamas, an allegation PCPA denies. 🔹Others sanctioned include Global Sumud Flotilla organizer and Steering Committee member Saif Abukishek, PCPA official Hisham Abdallah Sulayman Abu Mahfuz, Belgium-based Samidoun coordinator Mohammed Khatib, and Madrid-based activist Jaldia Abubakra Aueda. Samidoun is as an international Palestinian prisoner solidarity network, which the U.S. government claims is linked to the Palestinian resistance group PFLP, and Washington designates as a terrorist organization. 🔹Treasury also sanctioned Marwan Abu Ras, head of the Palestinian Scholars Association, a Gaza-based religious organization the U.S. claims operates on behalf of Hamas. 🔹Additional sanctions targeted Karim Sayed Ahmed Moghny, Muhammad Jamal Hassan al-Najjar, and Sherif Ahmed Ewis Ahmed, a member of HASM, an armed Egyptian group that authorities describe as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. U.S. officials accuse the men of supporting training for fighters, weapons procurement, and financial operations tied to Hamas and HASM.
