Nicole here again.
I just wanted to thank you all for the love and support over the last few days. We laid Sean to rest yesterday, and we have been so heartened by the stories of how much he impacted so many lives. We always knew he was special, but it’s been so comforting to hear how other people found him so special too.
Little Ollie is our priority now, and we will make sure he knows how brilliant and loved his dad was, but most importantly, how much his dad loved him.
If you would like to do something in Sean’s memory, please consider donating to @Foodstock__ this Christmas. Sean was a big supporter and he would be delighted if he knew he could still help those in need, even now.

Hello everyone. It’s Nicole here (Sean’s wife) I wanted to let you all know that unfortunately Sean passed away yesterday, suddenly and unexpectedly. Sean was a fierce advocate for disability rights, it was his passion and his calling. He never stopped fighting for the rights of disabled people. He faced many battles in his life, and took them all on with strength and resilience I have never seen before. As many of you know and may have worked with Sean, he was intelligent, funny, warm…I could go on. Sean was also a loving and devoted husband, father, son and brother. He loved and was loved by many. As you can imagine, we are all utterly heartbroken. Keep fighting the good fight in Sean’s memory - it’s what he would have wanted. Nicole

My heart is broken to hear about the passing of my friend Seán.
We worked on many projects together, like the disability strategy, to lecturing at Queen's and planning the Harkin Summit in Belfast.
Through it all, Seân never lost sight of the important work in disabled rights.
My hearts goes out to Nicole and their child.
