Lighter is undervalued asf and Hyperliquid is overvalued asf in terms of everything.
Look at volume and fees: Lighter generated around $190B in volume over 30 days and more than $50M in revenue including perps and HyperCore, while Hyperliquid generated $67B in volume and around $3M in revenue. Just imagine, if products start launching on LighterEVM, how much revenue it could generate.
Lighter was built for cheaper fees, and it has proven that. If you take a $1M $BTC trade on Lighter, you only have to pay $245, but for the same trade on Hyperliquid, you have to pay $675. Definitely, if you are retail traders, then why are you using such an expensive DEX that basically adds your profits into its own revenue?
Look at Hyperliquid and HyperEVM 99% of the projects are scams and they are bleeding asf.
$HYPE’s FDV of more than $10B also feels like a scam, because except for the perps exchange, everything else on Hyperliquid is dead asf.

Will Lighter die in 2026?
That’s nonsense.
Lately I’ve been getting this question way too often, and honestly, it hurts.
For me, Lighter was never just another perp app with one lucky run.
For a moment, it looked like one of the very few real challengers to Hyperliquid.
On execution, Lighter is still competitive with HL.
On some pairs and sizes it is basically equal, and on some it even looks better. So this is not really a product problem.
It is a business problem.
Revenue dropped from $39.69M in Q4 2025 to $17.35M in Q1 2026 so far. Trading fees fell from $29.71M to $12.14M, while gross profit dropped from $31.17M to $12.67M.
TVL tells the same story too.
A few months ago Lighter was sitting around $1.4B to $1.5B, and now it is down to about $628.6M.
You do not need deep analytics to understand why people are worried. The basic numbers are down hard. And in this market, people care about one thing more than anything else - revenue.
So, first of the core issue:
Lighter kept fees too low, so revenue stayed weak.
The product can be good, execution can be good, spreads can be good, but if the project is not printing enough, most people stop caring fast.
I do not think the team gave up.
I spoke with them a few times, and they are still trying to build. But it also feels like they are in survival mode now, just like a lot of the sector.
This is not the kind of market where a newer perp venue can easily go on a huge run.
And the ugly part:
Lighter can compete with Hyperliquid on actual trading conditions and still lose attention because the business side does not hit hard enough.
Cause the monetisation looks weak in a market that is obsessed with revenue.
So no, I do not think Lighter dies in 2026.
But I do think the easy part is over.

Lighter has done buybacks of a total 3% of the circulating supply in just 2 months and a few days.
And idk if either your brain is not working properly or you are obsessed with $HYPE. You are criticizing a product that in the long term will compete with your Hyperliquid against CEXs.
But if you’re talking about the $LIT price, honestly I agree with a few of your posts that the team needs to do something, especially when your token is making ATL daily. But still I can’t go bearish on $LIT because Lighter is dependent on the product, and LighterEVM expansion hasn’t even happened yet. But they are doing everything to make the price higher, but the market is down right now and people like you exist in this space, so even those who are interested are stepping away from $LIT at this time.
And I know once BTC hits 100K+ again, we will meet you when $LIT is at a 10B FDV.
