Now the Tehsildar (Revenue Officer) is asking 25,000 as a bribe to take action against people farming on our land. They are illegally cultivating crops on our property and the authorities aren’t doing their own job. Since 2022, we have paid large amounts just to get the partition of our own land processed. If you don’t pay, the file simply doesn’t move. It sits for months while officials keep delaying it. The Revenue Department is one of the most corrupt systems ordinary people deal with. You are forced to pay just to make officials do the work they are already paid for. Last time he took 5000 just to visit for inspection, This system is completely broken i am losing faith. I pay taxes yet i am still forced to pay bribes.
