@OdawgCensored @iHartPalestine @jeffyld Dehumanizing people who dehumanize others is fair game. Why do they get to dehumanize but get no scrutiny?

@iHartPalestine @jeffyld dehumanization is never good

@Zeedefish_01 @Z3trTalal @stemofyggdrasil @jeffyld I genuinely wish this was true but it really is the majority of Jews

@AllKnowingLib @FaggotRet4rd @StephanieGailW2 @umapalma01 "You are repeating that my favorite streamer is a pedophile and hoping that it sticks? What does this prove?". That's what you're saying in another way. Either you're a pedophile sympathizer or one yourself because there's no reason to defend an out and about pedo at this point
English

@FaggotRet4rd @StephanieGailW2 @umapalma01 Do you all just repeat the same line over abd over hoping it sticks somewhere? What does this prove to you?

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s illegal for landlords to:
- Lock you out or evict you without a court order.
- Shut off your heat, hot water, electricity, or other essential services to force you out of your home.
- Retaliate against you for reporting unsafe conditions or exercising your tenant rights.
- Leave serious health and safety hazards, like mold, unrepaired.
- Discriminate against you because of your race, disability, or other protected characteristics.

Wikipedia workers have unionized, and they're demanding recognition.
Wiki Workers United in the U.S. is demanding voluntary recognition from the Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit that hosts Wikipedia.
This request comes from a supermajority of union-eligible workers who have signed union authorization cards, according to the union.
WWU-US is organizing with the CWA.

Mamdani: In a win for every ice cream lover across New York City, we will work with the state to do away with the frozen dessert permit that requires restaurants to seek out a superfluous second permit for what they’re already doing: serving food.
No more treat-sploitation, as we say.
Right now, barbershops need three licenses to cut hair: one to be a barber, one to own the shop, and one from the city on top of both.
The state of affairs is frankly anti-fade, and we will not stand for it, which is why we will work with the state to streamline these licenses as well.
And to the bingo enthusiasts out there, for too long, the potential earnings of a hot streak at bingo have been capped by arcane rules that no longer reflect how the game is actually being played.
With OPEN, DCWP will remove unnecessary regulations, including prize limits.
These are just a few of the improvements we are proud to announce today as we make it clear we are in the pocket of Big Abuela.

Mayo Clinic is being sued by its former AI compliance lead, who is alleging the hospital network tried to hide its AI tool’s 67% error rate at patients’ expense.
The lawsuit alleges staff deleted results and mischaracterized outcomes to cover up the AI tool’s mistakes. The former employee says Mayo fired her in retaliation when she tried to raise her concerns.

Proud that New York is one of 12 states suing to stop Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros.
This is not a merger that serves the public. It would hand one company nearly a third of the movies and cable channels Americans watch, raise prices for streaming and cable, endanger the livelihoods of thousands of New York artists and entertainment workers, and threaten to shutter theaters across our city.
New York's workers helped build this industry. They should not be sacrificed for the sake of further corporate consolidation.

If it’s easy to sign up with one click, it should be just as easy to cancel with one click. That’s why New York City is becoming the first city in the nation to implement a Click-to-Cancel Rule.
Starting October 1, businesses will be required to make cancellations as easy as sign-ups. The rule is projected to save New Yorkers up to $162.5 million each year.
If you’re stuck in a subscription trap, report it at nyc.gov/Consumers.

Jaylen Brown says he used the NBA Players Association instead of hiring an agent for the NBA Draft because they're paid to help players
“When I entered the draft, I didn't have an agent. I'm probably the highest picked selected ever that didn't enter with an agent. When I was evaluating, I went through the whole process and sat with a bunch of people, and what they was offering I ain't really need. It was kind of already slotted, so I leaned on the union a lot more”
“A lot of the agents came and was like, ‘Yeah, we'll move you to L.A. We'll get you a trainer, put some money in your pocket,’ and I was like, ‘For what? Do I gotta give the money back?’ They was like, ‘Nah, but standard agent fee is 4%.’ I'm starting to do the math, and a house, car, and all that, whatever he was offering, is a lot less than what 4% would have been”
“Long story short, the math wasn't mathing for me. I ended up being the third pick. I think because I came in like that, a lot of people, I think it was the agents, they tried to slander my name a little bit, put it in the media that he's too this, he's too that. Ended up backfiring. It all worked out in the end”
“With the union, we pay dues. All the players in the NBA pay dues. We all pay like $10,000 out of our salary that goes to hiring lawyers, hiring staff, CEO, everything that you need to lead a company that works for us. So all of that is our resources that we all pay for, that we agree to. Once I learned that, I just started using it”
“I'm talking about you can get private investigations done. They give referrals for financial advisors. All type of stuff. Foundation wise, health insurance, whatever you need. They have a liaison that's paid to make sure that you get it done. So I put it on their desk like, ‘I need you to get this done.’ And they do because that's their job”
