I believe the artimus misson was not about them going to the moon that was fake. I believe it's a dart mission bc a planet killer asteroid is on its way to earth and this is their one chance to try to divert it. I have a feeling the missing scientists knew and had part in developing the mission and were silenced before they could leak. I know that sounds crazy, but I think it's really what's going on.
