The 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is currently underway. Minister for Foreign Affairs @MariaStenergard highlights the UNHRC’s importance in safeguarding and promoting human rights in her address at the initial high-level segment. "Sweden will continue to be principled in our defence of a rules-based order that puts the freedom, dignity and equal rights of every individual at its core." – Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard. During the meeting Sweden will continue to stress accountability for Russia’s violations of human rights in Ukraine as well as equality, women’s, girls’ and LGBTIQ persons’ enjoyment of human rights and sexual and reproductive health and rights. #HRC61
